Turkeys

Spring Turkey hunting is one of the most exciting hunts.  When a big Tom Turkey comes to a call it will get your blood pumping like nothing else in hunting.   The Ranch habitat is ideal for these big birds, the creeks, pecan trees, and the open spaces create a perfect place for these birds to strut their stuff.  In 2009 Kirkland Michaux shot the #1 ranked turkey in the youth division of the Trophy Game Records of the World and our own Robert Mitcham shot the National Turkey Federations #2 ranked archery bird in the world, with close 40 inches of beards.  Very few birds have been shot in the past which has allowed them grow ground dragging beard.
