Cattle

The Solana Ranch has been a working cattle ranch for over 60 years.   In 1950 the first Registered Hereford Cattle were bought By Frank W. Michaux to start the Solana Ranch Cattle operation.  In 1973 the ranch converted to a registered Simmental operation to stay up with the trends in the cattle business.  Since that time the Solana Ranch have adapted its operation to fit the needs of the market to try and stay on the leading edge of the cattle business.  

In 2000, we introduced an innovative cattle program that we refer to as our CONTRACT CATTLE PROGRAM. We provide the facilities, management, labor, and grazing to other cattle ranchers that don't have the land, facilities or manpower to run the larger herds that they own.  

We have a very experience and knowledgeable group of Cowboys that are skilled in Administering medication, vaccination, and sprays as well as assist in AI and Embryo transplant programs, birthing, data collection, and record keeping for any registered herd.  

The Contract Cattle Program includes, all Labor, Land, Equipment to properly manage your herd on a daily basis. 

We currently have a herd of Registered Beefmaster cattle under our care.
